Makeup by Brittany: Drug Store Beauty Skip to main content

I don’t know about you but my favorite products are always changing. I always have a few staples that come back into play throughout the years but it’s nice to try new things! I thought I would share with you my current drugstore must have’s. With the new products coming out all the time my beauty essentials are always on rotation.

I am loving Rimmel’s Stay Matte Powder. I have bought it in almost every shade for my kit and I use the shade called “Sandstorm.” I love this product to lightly set my foundation/concealer as well as to touch up throughout the day.

A brand new find for me was this awesome lightweight, perfect for spring foundation! It is by NYC and it’s their Skin Matching Illuminizer Foundation. It’s blendable with a sheer to medium coverage and leaves such a lovely dewy look on the skin!

Next up is a nude liner from Rimmel Scandaleyes collection the shade is 005 (nude) and it is perfect for brightening up the waterline. Since it’s not white and more of a skin tone shade it gives a very natural look. Perfect for those days where you wake up with red and swollen eyes! Another plus is how creamy this product is, it literally just glides on so gently, perfect for our delicate waterlines.

Matte bronzers are a go-to for me. I love using them to contour and bronze myself and my clients. I’m always on the hunt to find new favorites. This bronzer is from the line Essence it’s Sun Club Matte Bronzing Powder in “Brunettes—Darker Skin.” It also comes in one for fairer complexions. To top it all off it’s quite a large disc providing a great deal of product and it smells like pina coladas!

These are my two go-to mascaras, Rimmel’s The MAX Volume Flash Mascara and Bourjois Volume Clubbing Ultra Black Mascara. Both provide amazing full lashes and build like a dream!

Lastly, a little something for our tousled locks: L’Oreal Sublime Colour Care & Luminous Finish from the Color Radiance Precious Oils line. I am also looking for a nice and light oil to apply to my dry hair after I’ve curled or straightened it to give it a healthy shine. I find this very similar to an extremely expensive hair oil I had been using for quick some time and I just didn’t think I could find something to come close. This oil does. After I’ve curled and softly brushed out my waves, I run a bit of this oil through my hair starting about halfway down. I also use it on wet hair! I also love that the bottle is a heavy-duty glass, it feels expensive inside and out but is super affordable—plus plus plus!

Hope you guy’s enjoyed that post and feel free to share with me your favorite drugstore products in the comments below!
