Internationally Acclaimed Tutors
& Instructors
QC’s tutors are the best there is. These highly qualified makeup professionals live and breathe the latest makeup techniques and are trendsetters in their own right. From the US to Australia to Canada, celebrity makeup artists guide you through your courses and tell you all their secrets along the way!
Audio Critique from you Tutor
What good is it to have a celebrity makeup artist as a tutor if you never actually get to interact with him or her? QC is the only makeup school that offers you an audio critique of every single makeup assignment from your personal tutor. For every single assignment you complete, you’ll hear from your tutor what you did well and what you need to do to improve your skills. Ask any QC student: the level of tutor involvement is critical to your makeup education. Don’t settle for any less!

Hands-on Makeup Training
Makeup is a hands-on skill, so it’s important to practice and actually be evaluated on those skills! You’d be surprised how many “online makeup schools” don’t require you to complete any hands-on assignments to get their certificate. QC’s makeup course contains hands-on makeup assignments and exercises every step of the way. You build on your skills from one unit to the next, all with the help of your personal tutor!
This is why I am glad that I went with QC Makeup Academy. Because I didn’t do my research properly the first time and I paid like $300 for an “Apprentice” Makeup Certificate and was working on the Makeup Artist Certificate but I was feeling like I was just watching videos, told to practice and do quizzes. It wasn’t until the final assessment that I was to turn in any photos of my work, to me that seemed a bit off. Like what if this whole time I was applying shadow wrong to a certain eye type. What if I needed advice on how to blend the shadows better, what if I wasn’t color correcting right. I just felt like I was getting a half ass education through the other school. So I canceled it and did my homework this time. As Nathan said, I didn’t base it on price and discount this time. I based it on if I was going to get feedback if I had an actual tutor helping me and advising me if I was going to submit photos with my assignments. I can gladly say that I am glad that I am with QC Makeup Academy. […]

Before making my decision to enroll at QC I decided to email the school to ease a few of my worries. After receiving a lovely prompt response back I knew that I was about to make the right decision. The student portal is a great tool for all the information you will ever need while studying and also the staff is amazing at assisting you with any query. Upon finishing my course I received my certificate within a few days. Happy days 🙂 Thank you, QC!!

Unparalleled Student Support
With a lot of online schools, you buy the course, and then you’re on your own. At QC, you’ll be supported throughout your entire tenure as a makeup artistry student, and beyond! Imagine being able to chat online with a qualified student advisor any time you have a question about your course, assignments, or if you just need to take a break from your tuition payments for a month or two. That’s the level of support you’ll get from QC. Try finding that anywhere else!

I enrolled at QC today and I signed up for the Master Makeup Artistry course. I am so excited to start this program, especially after being so involved with makeup for the past 5+ years. I never thought that at 17 years old I would be able to earn a Master Makeup Certification. I will graduate from high school as a business owner and makeup artist because of this program. You guys are making my dream a reality. I am very much looking forward to completing the course I signed up for.

Business & Career Training
You Can Rely On
You can be the best makeup artist in the world. But if you don’t have basic business skills or career guidelines, it can still be difficult for you to find a job, get hired, or be paid what you’re worth. QC’s business & career training will help you navigate the “professional” side of professional makeup artistry.
- If your goal is to become a freelance makeup artist, you’ll work with your tutor to come up with a business plan, create a name for your business, figure out your insurance needs, set your prices, and much more.
- If your goal is to work for a makeup brand, at a counter, at a salon/spa or otherwise be hired by another company as a makeup artist, QC’s business training and additional career resources will give you the tools to be a competitive candidate for any makeup job!

A Certificate & Professional Designation that Actually Means Something
When you graduate from a QC course, you get a certification and professional designation that will stand out to clients, employers, and other industry professionals. The certification is yours forever; you’ll never have to pay “subscription fees” or other ridiculous “fees” to keep your certification current, unlike some other schools.
Prior to taking courses at QC Academy, I didn’t do well with makeup applications. I knew nothing about different skin types, eye shapes, skin tones, etc. Nathan Johnson (my mentor) equipped me with all the tools that I needed to pursue my career in makeup. Since my completion, I’ve serviced over 200 clients in freelancing all within 1 year and have joined Sephora as a Color Consultant.
